The components of the tie rods shall be assembled according to the drawing. When assembling on the jobsite, wooden strips could be padded below and try to keep the tie rods parallel to the ground after assembly. Pre-tensioning the tie rod after assembly.
1. Pre-Tensioning Methods of Vertical Tie Rods
The pre-tensioning position is the top thread of the tie rod at one end. The tensioner consists of one set of manual hydro-hoisting jacks, brackets, and internal-threaded nuts which could be connected to the top thread of the tie rods. When tensioning, follow the steps below:
a) Connect the top thread of the tie rod with an internal-threaded nut, and screw about 8 wires.
b) Hold the anchor plate by two jacks on both end, manually press the jack which could display the corresponding force value.
c) After tensioning to the required pre-tensioning force of the design, tighten the two hex nuts.
d) Loosen the jacks and pre-tensioning completed
Just pre-tensioning the top thread on one end is enough. Our company will provide detailed video guidance during pre-tensioning process.
2. Pre-Tensioning Methods of Diagonal Tie Rods
The pre-tensioning position is the turnbuckle in the middle of the tie rod. The tensioner consists of one set of manual hydro-hoisting jacks, brackets, and necessary clamps which could fix the turnbuckle and the rod. When tensioning, follow the steps below:
a) Clamp the turnbuckle and rod
b) Manually press the jacks which could display the force value
c) Loosen the jacks after the force value reached the required pre-tensioning force of the design, then pre-tensioning completed.
Our company will provide detailed video guidance during pre-tensioning process.
